Rebuilt 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Is Awesome

The idea of an old car with modern chassis and engine is hugely appealing. This 1968 Camaro Convertible is a classic case in point.

With cars like this you get the swell looks of the classic car, but none of the mechanical drawbacks. This magnificent Camaro is tastefully resorted on the outside and finished in Kolor Galaxy Gray. We wish it didn’t have those red stripes, but hey.

Under the bonnet you find a GM Performance Parts LS376/480 Hot Cam V8 with 480hp. It’s a reliable piece of kit with plenty of power to match the car’s fabulous style. It also gets modern transmission, cooling, electronics and stainless steel exhausts.

They have also replaced the prehistoric suspension of the original car with components from Hotchkis, Chris Alston’s Chassisworks, and Varishock. The brakes are also replaced with a powerful system from G-street. The car sports a set of 17-inch Foose Nitrous Chrome Legend wheels to maintain the retro look, but the tires are modern Fuzion ZR1s.

The interior is also redone and comes with some new amenities like a top notch stereo, but we’re not digging that sport steering wheel which is like the ones they put on cheaply modded Kias.

As you may have already guessed, this almost perfect blend of old and new does not come cheap, especially as it has only 409 miles on the clock. It is in fact $129,900. And that’s what you call very expensive.
