Chrysler revealed the Jeep Renegade concept car at the Detroit auto show. The Jeep Renegade is a two seats sporty vehicle that is well suited for dune-surfing or rock-climbing in all kinds of weather. The Jeep Renegade is equipped with a 40-mile range lithium-ion battery pack and a 1.5 liter BLUETEC diesel engine that extends the range to 400 miles.from Jeep's Press Release:

The Jeep Renegade concept vehicle is a sporty, “minimised” two-seater ideally suited for the all-weather fun of dune-surfing or rock-crawling.

The advanced propulsion system in the
Jeep Renegade concept starts with a 40-mile range lithium-ion battery pack. A range extender – in Renegade’s case, a 1.5-litre BLUETEC diesel engine – allows for journeys up to 400 miles.
