Hennessey 562hp HPE550 Chevrolet Camaro


Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE), Texas based tuner released the new photos of its heavily modified 705hp (526kW) version of the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. These photos will make even clearer its car creation that will be launched in the early next year. They show us the exterior, interior and engine of the modified Camaro SS.

Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) performance kit is no cheap. The $18,950 is the price for the kit only without installation. The full installation kit is priced at $24,950, but this will be equipped with a half-day performance driving lesson at the Lonestar Motorsports Park, Texas.

Named the HPE550, this car will add the list of the 700hp’s work such as Godzilla 700 Nissan GT-R and Venom� Dodge Vipers.


The modification for the HPE550 includes the addition of a Magnuson supercharger and stainless-steel Corsa sports exhaust system to engine of the Camaro LS3 V8 engine from the range-topping SS. These addition give power output to 562hp (419kW) at 6,200rpm and 557lb-ft (754Nm) of torque at 4,200rpm. Other modifications include new fuel injectors, a high-flow intake, aluminum wheels and custom aero package. Now the modified Camaro, the HPE550 comes with supercar figure as well as hitting 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 12.1 seconds at a 119mph of speed.

But this is not the most extreme creation of Hennesey, the tuning firm is also in the process for 1,000hp Camaro with a twin-turbo. All will be here, just stay tuned.
