I don't remember this happening on an episode of The Dukes Of Hazzard. A Central Florida man set fire to a house, then made a break for it in a replica of the iconic General Lee.
Oswald Pereira allegedly started Tuesday's blaze after an argument with his ex-wife, which escalated to leading deputies on a chase through Marion and Levy counties.
When cops finally caught up with the 44-year-old, he was found with burns over 15 percent of his body. Pereira has been charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, assault on an officer and violating a domestic violence protection order.
Thankfully the woman was not hurt and firefighters rescued at least two dogs from inside the home, say news reports.
